CBCDC Programs & Events

  • Back To School Giveaway

Providing needed educational supplies including back packs to school age students in this community. This is a collaborative effort with local community partners to emphasize importance and excitement towards education and learning throughout the year.

  • Tutoring

Utilizing community partners such as Thrive Learning Academy and other resources, we offer a Monday through Thursday after school tutoring program for grade school students. We are currently working on additional programming for one-on-one tutoring programs to assist students of all grade levels who were impacted, educationally, by COVID-19.

  • Harvest Day

We provide fun-indoor and outdoor art and other activities throughout the day for children, teens ending with a holiday-inspired meal kit and a variety of desserts. Families are encouraged to participate in the events.

  • Senior Programs

In cooperation with our Community Partners, we provide health and wellness programs that include exercise, meal services and referrals to assistance providers to support seniors and to help combat isolation.

  • Food Giveaways

With participation from various grocery outlets and contributors, we provide weekly on-site food giveaways to all participants in the community. We strive to increase the participation/contributors as much as possible to meet the needs of the community.

  • Holiday Events

For various holidays, we offer games, gifts and age appropriate activities in a fun-filled safe environment. We utilize local partnership to make the events extra special for all age groups.

  • Summer Programs

With assistance from our partners, we offer summer programs and various field trips to all students. We encourage parent participation so that it becomes a memorable family activity.

  • Family & Community Services

We provide on-going referrals to our community for other needed services such as transportation, job skills and employment training, and financial fitness programs. We are currently working to expand our program offering to include English as a second language (ESL), financial budgeting, homeownership preparedness, and other health and wellness programs for broader audiences and needs to suit the need in our communities.
